Jockey Yeni did not ride at today's meeting (family responsibility). Jockey Jacobson did not ride at today's meeting (medically indisposed). Apprentice de Gouveia, Apprentice Schwarz and Apprentice Moodley were not available to ride in Races 1 & 2 due to matric examinations. ENGAGE GEAR, GLIDING HOME, LEISURE LADY and TWO MOON JUNCTION lost 1 length. EXQUISITE EIGHT was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. ENGAGE GEAR over-raced in the early stages. Approaching the 1100 metre mark, VICTORIOUS DIVA shifted in slightly, resulting in PARALLELOGRAM becoming momentarily inconvenienced along the inside running rail. Jockey Marcus reported ROY'S BARBEL was not striding out freely in the straight. In view of the performances of ENGAGE GEAR and LEISURE LADY, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine these fillies. GLIDING HOME and TWO MOON JUNCTION raced green. PARALLELOGRAM raced fitted with alumites. SANSA and TWO MOON JUNCTION raced with her tongue tied down. Vet: ROY'S BARBEL, ENGAGE GEAR and LEISURE LADY - nothing obvious detected. SEATTLE SPARK - coughing. Scratched: VESPER - coughing.
