BRAVE GITANO pulled its right front shoe en route to the start, which was attended to by the farrier and the starting stalls had to be repositioned on the track. These incidents caused a delay to the start of this Race. BELLA CIAO was stubborn loading and lost 1 length. Assistant Trainer Paterson was advised to re-school this gelding prior to its next engagement. BRAND NEW CADILLAC and MENEWA lost 1 length. Jockey van Rensburg reported that he felt something amiss with KING OF THE DELTA in running. Shortly after the start, BELLA CIAO and MENEWA came together and bumped. ROCKSTAR CHILD raced green. The breastplate on Jockey Penny, the rider of VULISTA, became detached in running. DHABYAAN (AUS) was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. VULISTA (ZIM) is a chestnut and not bay as carded. MENEWA raced unshod. Vet: KING OF THE DELTA - examined post race, nothing obvious detected. BRAVE GITANO - blowing.
