Jockey van Niekerk reported that he felt something amiss with MANGROVE in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine the gelding on its return to the unsaddling enclosure and submit a report. WOODLAND'S FOREST was forced to steady off the heels of SILVER DE LANGE, which shifted in away from the crop at the 300m. Jockey Andrews appeared before the Board and was advised to take timeous corrective measures when his mounts shift ground in future. KINAAN (AUS) was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Vet: MANGROVE - returned not striding out behind and fatigued.
