Jockey Zechner reported that JOEY PIPER made an abnormal respiratory noise and he felt something amiss with this gelding in running. Jockey Cheyne reported that MORPHEUS did not stride out freely in running and he did not persevere with his riding from the 300m. RAASMAAL (AUS) over-raced in the early stages. In the concluding stages, JUBILEE LINE was awkwardly placed between COUNT TASSILO, which shifted out to continue his run when racing on the heels of DONNY G, and JOEY PIPER, which rolled in marginally. ZOUAVES was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Vet: JOEY PIPER abnormal respiratory noise. MORPHEUS not striding out both front. The course farrier on duty did not report there to be anything amiss with the shoes fitted to the horses that raced at today's race meeting. The passports of all the runners that raced at today's race meeting were checked and their identities, AHS and Equine Influenza vaccinations confirmed.
