THE STARTER REPORTED: a) ME TIME (L Hewitson) was slow losing one length. b) ANNA CAPRI (G Lerena) jumped outwards leaving the stalls. c) RAEESAH (B Nyawo) jumped inwards leaving the stalls. d) PRINCESS NICOLE (D De Gouveia) refused to load. The starting stall certificate for this filly has been withdrawn. Trainer F C de Beer was advised (GT). THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Shortly after the start, CAPITIANA (*L J Ferraris) was brushed on its hind quarter by RAEESAH (B Nyawo) which resulted in CAPITIANA'S left front shoe being cast in running. b) BEFORE THE DAWN (S Khumalo) shifted out away from the crop from the 150m and was straightened. c) Jockey L Hewitson reported ME TIME took no interest in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. d) BEFORE THE DAWN (S Khumalo), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer A B Fortune advised (DR). e) In view of the Starter's report with regard to PRINCESS NICOLE, this filly's starting stall certificate has been withdrawn and she is suspended in terms of Rule 61.6.10 for a period of 7 days and until such time as she proves tractable loading with a companion. Suspension dates: 16.10.20 to the 22.10.20. PRINCESS NICOLE may not be presented for re-passing during this period. Trainer F C Beer was advised. JOCKEY CHANGES: a) RAEESAH: Jockey B Nyawo weighed out at 56,7kg, 0,5kg over the carded weight. RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER: a) CHE BELLA raced equipped with blinkers (declared 15 October 2020 at 07H30). THE VETERINARY SURGEON REPORTED: a) ME TIME not striding out right front. b) CAPITIANA cast the left front shoe in running. Examined post race, nothing obvious detected. THERE WERE NO SCRATCHINGS.
