There was a lengthy delay to the start of the 4th Race due to a Metro power failure within the Greyville precinct and thereafter due to lightning in close proximity to the race track. EASY PEASY lost 1 length. MYELISHA was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. EASY PEASY over-raced in the early stages and was repeatedly forced to ease off the heels of runners on the bend. Apprentice Gates, the rider of THE VINTAGE, had a satisfactory qualifying ride. The course farrier on duty did not report there to be anything amiss with the shoes fitted to the horses that raced at today's race meeting. The passports of all the runners that raced at today's race meeting were checked and their identities, AHS and Equine Influenza vaccinations confirmed. AFTER THE RUNNING OF THE 4TH RACE A FURTHER DELAY WAS CAUSED DUE TO AN ELECTRICAL STORM IN CLOSE PROXIMITY TO THE RACE TRACK. THE STORM INTENSIFIED AND AFTER A LENGTHY DELAY IT WAS DECIDED TO ABANDON THE REMAINDER OF THE RACE MEETING.
