LET'S TWIST, ASHDOWN and GRAB THE GAVEL were slow into stride. In view of the performance of REDBERRY WOOD, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. Trainer Woodruff was requested to report back to the Board on the condition of this filly on return to stables. Approaching the 1400m, ASHDOWN was awkwardly placed between LET'S TWIST, which rolled out and ORNATE, which shifted in marginally and was immediately straightened. ANGELIC was hanging in from the 250m. IL MONDO was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. IL MONDO cast its left front shoe in running. Vet: REDBERRY WOOD - examined post race, nothing obvious detected. Scratched: CORIANDER QUEEN - ineligible, winner Vaal Racecourse 29 November 2017. GOEDE HOOP - abnormal temperature and nasal discharge.
