There was a delay to the start of the 3rd Race due to the delay to the start of Race 2. FINAL ASSEMBLY was slow into stride. AVIATION lost 1 length. DOT COZA lost 4 lengths. MOON SHADOW (AUS) was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. HONDO was hanging in throughout which resulted in him shifting inwards and making contact with FORWARD LAD on two occasions shortly after the start. Approaching the 150 metre mark, GREAT DICTATOR shifted inwards carrying MOON SHADOW (AUS) inwards. Thereafter GREAT DICTATOR and MOON SHADOW (AUS) shifted outwards independently of each other over the final 50 metres. FINAL ASSEMBLY returned post race having cast the left fore shoe. Apprentice Gates, the rider of HONDO, had a satisfactory qualifying ride. In view of the Starter's Report concerning DOT COZA the starting stall certificate for this gelding has been withdrawn until recertified tractable to jump on terms with a companion. Vet: FORWARD LAD - coughing. Scratched: KING KOTINI, QUEENSBERRY RULES, KENTUCKY BOY, CIRENCESTER and SOCRATES - change of surface. GRIZZARD - cast in box.
