Jockey de Melo (flight complications - to be investigated) and Jockey van Rensburg (medically indisposed - stomach bug) did not ride at today's race meeting. They were replaced on their mounts. During the loading process RUNNING FURY flipped over backwards in the starting stalls, injuring Jockey Brown. The runners that were already loaded were extricated from the starting stalls whilst Jockey Brown received medical attention. Thereafter the loading process started again, which caused a delay to the start of this Race. RUNNING FURY reared up in the stalls and injured itself. The starting stalls certificate for this gelding has been withdrawn. AGENT KAY was stubborn loading and lost 1 length. CAPTAIN'S COMMAND lost 1 length. In view of the Starter's report with regard to RUNNING FURY, this gelding was suspended for a period of 7 days and until such time as it proves tractable loading into the starting stalls. RUNNING FURY may not be presented for repassing during this period. Jockey Strydom reported that he felt something amiss with KING OF THE DELTA in running. Assistant Trainer Titise was requested to report back on the condition of KING OF THE DELTA on return to the stables. KING OF THE BAY was hanging out in the concluding stages. HAPPY MATADOR was hanging in, in the concluding stages. SHARKAHOLIC was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. HAPPY MATADOR raced equipped with alumite shoes in front, unshod behind. AGENT KAY raced in the Colours of Mr A Jular and Mr & Mrs S W Kenny: Purple, White Crossed Sashes, Purple Sleeves, White Cap, Purple Spots. FRANKIE BOY is a gelding. SPRING SHOT raced equipped with a tongue tie. Vet: KING OF THE DELTA - examined post race, nothing obvious detected. Scratched: RUNNING FURY - injured in the stalls. LOBO'S LEGEND - ineligible, winner 2 December 2017.
