THE STARTER REPORTED: a) ACTION JACKSON (H Greyling) starting stall gate opened fractionally slower than the rest of the field causing this gelding to lose one length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) A Race Review was called into the start of this race. After viewing the patrol film, the Stipendiary Board concluded that ACTION JACKSON was impeded by its starting stall gate opening slower than the rest of the field however ACTION JACKSON was declared a runner in terms of Rule 61.5.10.1 as this gelding placed third. b) Apprentice R Satombo, the rider of DUNAS DOURADAS, reported something amiss with his mount in running. The Course Veterinarian was requested to examine this gelding. c) VARNICA, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Assistant Trainer D Swanson advised (MC) JOCKEY AND/OR EQUIPMENT CHANGES: a) Nil. RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER: a) Nil.
