The start of this Race was delayed due to ANGLET and ASTISIA being stubborn and proving difficult to load. SEATTLE SUNRISE was nervous in the stalls. ANGLET was stubborn, nervous in the stalls and to be re-schooled. ASTISIA was very stubborn and difficult to load. In view of the starter's report ASTISIA's starting stall certificate is withdrawn and is to be repassed tractable in the starting stalls. Jockey van der Merwe reported that JOKING was not striding out freely in the running. OKLAHOMA SKY was hanging out in the closing stages. ASTISIA raced green. Apprentice Jockey Hewitson reported TIGER STAR made an abnormal respiratory noise and changing strides in the running. PEPPER OAK was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Vet: JOKING - not striding out in front. TIGER STAR - post race distress syndrome, not striding out in front. The course farrier on duty did not report there to be anything amiss with the shoes fitted to the horses that raced at today's race meeting. The passports of all the runners that raced at today's race meeting were checked and their identities, AHS and Equine Influenza vaccinations confirmed.
