QUINLAN flyjumped losing one length and thereafter was slow into stride. WEEKEND WARRIOR, which was restless in the stalls, was slow into stride. In view of the performance from WEEKEND WARRIOR, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine the gelding and submit a report. The Board reviewed the patrol films regarding QUINLAN's last run on 11 November 2017 at Kenilworth over 1000m when it finished 17.40 lengths behind the winner and the Board noted that the gelding raced down the middle of the track without company, gave ground to the field from the 300m and was not persevered with. Trainer Snaith could offer no explanation for the poor run. The gelding had been checked post race and on its return to the yard and Mr Snaith could not find any reason for the poor performance on 11 November 2017. Mr Snaith's attention was drawn to the Rule pertaining to inconsistent running. QUINLAN was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Vet: WEEKEND WARRIOR - inspected post race and no obvious abnormalities were detected.
