THE DONEGAL MAN and INERTIA jumped awkwardly losing one length and thereafter were slow into stride. THAT'S ALL jumped awkwardly inwards losing one length and thereafter was slow into stride. In view of the performance from INERTIA, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine the colt on its return to the unsaddling enclosure. In view of the report from the Veterinary Surgeon regarding INERTIA, Trainer Kotzen has been advised that he will be required to notify the Stipendiary Board when he next enters INERTIA, in order that the Stipendiary Board and a nominated Veterinary Surgeon, may pass it fit to race. Approaching the 1000m, FLOATING ON WATER had to steady when following CRADLEOFGRATITUDE, which brushed the inside running rail. Approaching the 800m TYRANDEUS, which was racing in restricted galloping room between FLOATING ON WATER and MIND BLOWING, had to steady for a number of strides. As a result INERTIA, which was following, had to steady. I TOUCH THE SKY and RISKY RAMBO were selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. THE DONEGAL MAN raced fitted with pacifiers. Vet: INERTIA - inspected post race and no obvious abnormalities were detected. Trainer Kotzen was interviewed post race and he reported that the colt could possibly have choked up in running. CRADLEOFGRATITUDE - returned making an abnormal respiratory noise.
