The start of this Race was delayed due to the delay in the previous race. Jockey Marwing reported that he felt something amiss with DHAAMER in running. SOARING PAST was hanging out badly. As a consequence of this, the bit pulled through this gelding's mouth, SOARING PAST failed to negotiate the first turn and was eased out of the race. In view of this report, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine SOARING PAST. BOLD MAN took an awkward stride at approximately the 2000m. NETHERBY HALL was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Vet: SOARING PAST - not striding out left front. DHAAMER - examined post race, nothing obvious detected.
