RASPBERRY RED was restless in the stalls and thereafter lost one length. ETERNAL WORDS rushed the front gates and thereafter lost one length. ROY'S FLUTE and WHAT A PRINCESS lost one length. CONTINUUM was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. ROY'S FLUTE and ETERNAL WORDS were hanging in, in the straight. DAYDREAM BELIEVER was hanging in over the final 300 metres. ROY'S FLUTE shifted in near the 50 metre mark resulting in ETERNAL WORDS being cramped and thereafter eased for a number of strides. As a result of this incident, PINK CADILLAC, who was racing green, was forced to switch out to obtain a clear run in the closing stages. Apprentice Moodley signed an Admission of Guilt for a contravention, in that as the rider of ROY'S FLUTE, he failed to ensure that he did not cause interference to the runners on his inside at approximately the 50 metre mark. He was suspended for a period of 7 days. In view of the performance of RASPBERRY RED, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. Vet: RASPBERRY RED - nothing obvious detected. Scratched: SEATTLE SILVA and FLEEK - change of venue. MISS TRUST - insufficient recovery time. SUCH A RUSH - coughing. KHETIWE (AUS) - eliminated.
