THE STARTER REPORTED:
a) YAMASHITA'S GOLD (T Godden) was difficult to load and lost 1 length.
b) FOLLOW SUIT (S Moodley) was stubborn to load.
c) COSINTO (W Kennedy) and KHAN (S Veale) were restless in the stalls.
d) LOOK OF EAGLES (A Mgudlwa) lost 1 length.
e) WHAT YOU WANT (*J Gates) lost 1 length and thereafter, was slow into stride.
THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED :
a) In view of the Starter's report with regard to YAMASHITA'S GOLD (T Godden), this gelding's starting stall certificate is withdrawn and it is suspended in terms of Rule 61.6.10 for a period of 7 days and until such time as it proves tractable with a companion. Suspension dates: 19.10.20 to the 25.10.20. YAMASHITA'S GOLD may not be presented for re-passing during this period. Trainer J V Rugg was advised. (SH)
b) Shortly after the start, WHAT YOU WANT (*J Gates) shifted out sharply when awkwardly placed on the heels of TRILLIONAIRE (*K Strydom), which stumbled severely leaving the starting stalls.
c) FUTURA ROYALE (W Agrella) took an awkward stride approaching the 1000m
d) TRILLIONAIRE (K Strydom) was hanging out in the straight, proving difficult to assist.
e) YAMASHITA'S GOLD (T Godden) and DROGARATI (K de Melo) were hanging out from the 400m.
f) In the concluding stages, RITE OF PASSAGE (A Marcus) and FOLLOW SUIT (S Moodley) came together and bumped.
g) In view of the performances of YAMASHITA'S GOLD (T Godden) (12.80 lengths), LOOK OF EAGLES (A Mgudlwa) (21.50 lengths), FUTURA ROYALE (W Agrella) (16.10 lengths) and TRILLIONAIRE (*K Strydom) (14.40 lengths) the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine.
h) Jockey S Moodley signed an admission of guilt for a contravention of Rule 58.10.2, read in conjunction with Guideline M, in that he struck the horse FOLLOW SUIT more than 12 times in the entire Race. In deciding what action to take against Jockey S Moodley the Board considered the number of times (14) Jockey S Moodley struck the horse FOLLOW SUIT the distance over which and manner in which, Jockey S Moodley used his crop and his record (1) in relation to this Rule. Accordingly, a penalty of R750 was imposed.
i) RITE OF PASSAGE (A Marcus), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer S J Snaith advised (ML).

a) TRILLIONAIRE raced with ear muffs (advised 14.10.20/7h30).

a) YAMASHITA'S GOLD, LOOK OF EAGLES, FUTURA ROYALE and TRILLIONAIRE : Nothing obvious detected.
