THE STARTER REPORTED: a) ASSURED (S Moodley) was restless in the stalls and lost 1 length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) A TIME TO REMEMBER (E Ngwane) over-raced in the early stages. b) GUITAR KING (S Veale) raced wide into the first turn. c) Between the 300m and 200m, PULPIT ROCK (*K Strydom) shifted both ways away from the crop. Thereafter, Apprentice K Strydom reported that PULPIT ROCK (16.90 lengths) took no interest in the running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. d) At the 300m, MYSTIC MASTER (L Hewitson) shifted out to continue its run. e) Approaching the 200m, PROSPERO (D Dillon) shifted in away from the crop. f) At the 150m, Jockey A Arries (THUNDER ROAD) dropped his right side rein. g) Jockey A Arries reported that THUNDER ROAD (13.30 lengths) took no interest in the running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. h) In view of the performances of GREY VIEW (W Kennedy) (7.20 lengths) and GUITAR KING (S Veale) (12.25 lengths) the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. i) Trainer G H van Zyl signed an admission of guilt for a contravention of Rule 10.5.6.1, in that he failed to notify the Chief Stipendiary Steward within 2 days that GREY VIEW is a gelding. Accordingly, a penalty of R250 was imposed. j) LORD OF THE MANOR (K de Melo), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer M Dixon advised (ML). JOCKEY / EQUIPMENT CHANGES : a) GREY LINNGARI raced equipped with blinkers (advised 18.10.20/7h14). b) RUBONDO raced equipped with blinkers (advised 14.10.20/7h30).
