CHILLI AFFAIR and WARRIOR'S STONE were slow into stride. WARRIOR'S STONE was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. SAVUTI over-raced in the early stages. Jockey Marcus reported that he felt something amiss with SILENT OBSESSION and as a result he did not persevere with his ride in the home straight. MAGESH'S JET raced wide on the latter part of the bend and into the straight. An Inquiry will be held into Apprentice Ngwane, the rider of MAGESH'S JET, riding of this gelding in the closing stages of the Race. SILENT OBSESSION raced with ear muffs. Vet: SILENT OBSESSION - lame left hind. MAGESH'S JET - not striding out left fore. Scratched: VIKING RED - Urticaria. CUDUIARI - virus. DISCOURSE - no suitable rider at the carded weight. GOLDINGS and COSMIC KNIGHT - no rider available. The course farrier on duty did not report there to be anything amiss with the shoes fitted to the horses that raced at today's race meeting. The passports of all the runners that raced at today's race meeting were checked and their identities, AHS and Equine Influenza vaccinations confirmed.
