ZENZERO lost 1 length. AGENCEFRANCEPRESSE (AUS) was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer Campbell was questioned regarding the improved performance of AGENCEFRANCEPRESSE (AUS) compared to this gelding's previous three performances over 1200 metres. Mr Campbell attributed the improvement shown to having raced this gelding over the longer distance of 1600 metres tonight and he has undertaken to race AGENCEFRANCEPRESSE (AUS) over similar distances in his future engagements. Mr Campbell's explanation was noted and the future performances of this gelding will be monitored. OUZO and PAMPAS were hanging in, in the latter stages. Jockey Kennedy reported SIYAKWAMUKELA making an abnormal respiratory noise in running. In view of the performance of MATTHEW LIPS, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. SWEET REFRAIN brushed the inside rail at approximately the 1000 metre mark. Jockey Godden reported that he felt something amiss with SWEET REFRAIN in running. SIYAKWAMUKELA raced fitted with a Cornell collar. AGENCEFRANCEPRESSE (AUS) was sold with engagement and the ownership should read: Mr Douglas Campbell; and the Colours are: brown and pink stripes, pink sleeves and cap (change of ownership registered 4.1.2018). Vet: SIYAKWAMUKELA - blowing and fatigued. MATTHEW LIPS and SWEET REFRAIN - nothing obvious detected. Scratched: FANTASY ART (AUS) - short behind.
