MA FORTE jumped awkwardly losing one length and thereafter was slow into stride. PLATINUM CLASS was slow losing one length and thereafter was a slow into stride. SUGAR GIRL jumped awkwardly losing one length and thereafter was a slow into stride. In view of the performances from STILL I RISE (AUS) and WEDGWOOD, which were not persevered with in the latter stages, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine these horses on their return to the unsaddling enclosure and submit a report. At about the 300m, SUGAR GIRL shifted out and carried OSTINATO outwards, which resulted in a tiring VELVET DAWN being carried outwards and having to steady. PLATINUM CLASS was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. STILL I RISE (AUS) and MA FORTE raced fitted with ear muffs. Vet: STILL I RISE (AUS) - inspected post race and no obvious abnormalities were detected. WEDGWOOD - returned not striding out behind.
