THE STARTER REPORTED: a) BENEFICIARY (L Bester) stood awkwardly in the stalls. b) CECCA (G Cheyne) was nervous in stalls. c) ALASKAN FATE (*L J Ferraris) was slow into stride. d) BRIDESMAID BLUES (C Maujean) was slow losing one length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) At approximately the 700m, VALERIANA (*K Strydom) had to steady when awkwardly placed on the heels of LAW AND ORDER (D R Lerena) which shifted in. Jockey D R Lerena was charged with a contravention of Rule 62.2.7 in that he failed to ensure that he did not cause interference to VALERIANA (*K Strydom) when he shifted in at the 700m. Jockey Lerena signed an Admission of Guilt and is suspended from riding in races for a period of seven days. Dates of Suspension: To be Advised. b) BENEFICIARY (L Bester), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer JVA Strydom advised (LM). JOCKEY CHANGES: a) ALASKAN FATE was ridden by Apprentice L J Ferraris (declared 19 October 2020 at 09H28).
