HEIR TO RICHES was slow away and lost 2 lengths. Jockey Minnie reported that REEVAS QUEEN was not striding out freely in the running. Despite being ridden along HIGHLAND CAPTAIN was under pressure on the latter part of the bend and on entering the straight commenced to hang inward very badly which led to Apprentice Hewitson easing this colt out of the race at the 300 metre mark. In view of this report, the Course Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. WISH TO LAND was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Vet: HIGHLAND CAPTAIN - not striding out in front, coughed post race. REEVAS QUEEN - not striding out behind.
