THE STARTER REPORTED: a) WINTER SUN (*L Ferraris) was squeezed. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) Approaching the 300m, CASINO QUEEN (S Moodley) shifted out to continue its run. b) Between the 400m and the 150m, TRAVELLING LIGHT (L Hewitson) raced with an awkward inward head carriage. c) Apprentice J Jacobs signed an admission of guilt for a contravention of Rule 58.10.2, read in conjunction with Guideline M, in that he struck the horse PURPLE PERSUASION more than 12 times in the entire Race. In deciding what action to take against Apprentice J Jacobs the Board considered the number of times (14) Apprentice J Jacobs struck the horse PURPLE PERSUASION the distance over which and manner in which, Apprentice J Jacobs used his crop, the fact that he won the race and his record (0) in relation to this Rule.
