BLACK SOUTHEASTER and BARBARA were restless in the stalls. EETEE was slow into stride. WARATAH lost one length. SHANDY was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. MISS TWIST racing on the inside of L'ORFEO shifted in near the 1100 metre mark, making contact with BARBARA, who in turn made contact with KHADINE. As a result BARBARA and KHADINE became unbalanced and BARBARA had to be checked losing position. As a result of this ADORNED BY BEAUTY, EETEE and MISS BRAZIL had to be switched outwards. An Inquiry will be held into this incident. SHANDY and TRAVEL GUIDE made contact racing into the bend. Apprentice Sakayi, the rider of WARATAH, and Apprentice Schwarz, the rider of EETEE, reported their mounts faltered in running. In view of this the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine these fillies. ADORNED BY BEAUTY raced with ear muffs. BLACK SOUTHEASTER raced without a tongue tie. Vet: WARATAH and EETEE - nothing obvious detected. Scratched: SPIRAL FLIGHT - no transport. HOLY FLAME and PINA COLADA - elevated temperature. The course farrier on duty did not report there to be anything amiss with the shoes fitted to the horses that raced at tonight's race meeting. The passports of all the runners that raced at tonight's race meeting were checked, identities, AHS and Equine Influenza vaccinations confirmed.
