The start of this Race was delayed due to the difficulty of fitting the bridle on ASIANA, which became detached during the loading process. MEG and HIGH RANGE were restless in the stalls. MISS FERRIS lost one length. LUNGI lost two lengths. ARIZONA SUNSET was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. CATSKILL QUEEN (NZ) over-raced in the early and middle stages and as a result raced to a handy position in the early part of the back straight resulting in this filly compounding in the straight. In view of this, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. At approximately the 1600 metre mark, LEISURE LADY was carried out as a result of CATSKILL QUEEN (NZ) having to switch outwards, off the heels of runners, due to over-racing. ARIZONA SUNSET was hanging in, in the straight. HIGH RANGE was cramped for galloping room on the inside running rail at approximately the 650 metre mark. VOETSPORE raced without cheek pieces. Vet: CATSKILL QUEEN (NZ) - nothing obvious detected. The Course Farrier on duty did not report there to be anything amiss with the shoes fitted to the horses that raced at today's race meeting. The passports of all the runners that raced at today's race meeting were checked, identities, AHS and Equine Influenza vaccinations confirmed.
