ROYAL BODYGUARD was slow into stride. WOLF KILLER lost 1 length. THE PRIVATE was restless in the stalls. Was removed, checked by the Veterinary Surgeon, declared fit to race and reloaded. THE PRIVATE was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. QUEENSBERRY RULES returned post race having cast the left hind shoe. In view of the performance of WHAT A STORM, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. Jockey Wrogemann reported BLACK DEVON took no interest in running. In view of the Starter's Report concerning THE PRIVATE the starting stall certificate for this gelding has been withdrawn until recertified tractable with a companion on a race day. BLACK DEVON raced fitted with alumites both fore and unshod behind. BLACK SAMURAI raced unshod. BLACK SAMURAI raced fitted with cheek-pieces. Vet: BLACK DEVON - not striding out right fore.
