Jockey Zackey did not ride at today's race meeting due to being medically indisposed - injured hip. He was replaced on his mounts. PIECES OF GOLD and TEXT ME were slow into stride. In view of the performance from PIECES OF GOLD, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this colt. Trainer Erasmus was requested to report back on the condition of PIECES OF GOLD on return to the stables. Apprentice Schwarz reported that he felt something amiss with TEXT ME in running. At approximately the 200m, ROCKY PATH, which shifted out sharply away from the crop, had to ease off the heels of PIECES OF GOLD. Trainer Gray, trainer of ROCKY PATH, appeared before the Board, was shown the patrol film of the race and advised that with regards to ROCKY PATH'S previous history of shifting sharply in races that he needs to make the necessary corrective measures to ensure that this colt keeps straight in races. Jockey Sampson, the rider of THE PINK PANTHER, accidentally dropped his crop at approximately the 100m. BOLD EAGLE and RUNNING BRAVE were selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. SUGOI raced equipped with alumite shoes in front, unshod behind. Vet: PIECES OF GOLD and TEXT ME - examined post race, nothing obvious detected. THE PINK PANTHER - abnormal respiratory noise.
