LEISURE TRIP and ONESIE were slow into stride. PARABOLA was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Assistant Trainer Muscutt was questioned with regard to the improved performance of PARABOLA was compared to this filly's previous performance on the 22 December 2017. Mr Muscutt explained that the previous run was this filly's first run on the poly track. He further explained that this filly jumped well on that occasion and as a result over-raced to the front and had compounded in the latter stages. Today this filly had raced off the pace which was the usual tactic adopted in previous races and this in his opinion, had accounted for the improvement shown. He undertook to continue to race PARABOLA in a similar manner in future. In view of the performance of LEISURE TRIP, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this mare. Jockey Delpech reported PEARL GLOW was not striding out freely in running. MINNIE THE MOOCHER was not persevered with in the latter stages. Approaching the 300 metre mark, ONESIE shifted out from the crop. Simultaneously PARABOLA was hanging in, shifted in from the crop, resulting in INGA becoming cramped for galloping room. PARABOLA continued to shift in, carrying ONESIE inwards resulting in ONESIE having to steady passing the 50 metre mark. Apprentice Bantam signed an Admission of Guilt for a Warning for a contravention, in that as the rider of PARABOLA, he failed to ensure that he did not cause interference to the ONESIE in the latter stages. Vet: LEISURE TRIP - mild abnormal respiratory noise. PEARL GLOW and MINNIE THE MOOCHER - nothing obvious detected. Scratched: MOON PRINCESS - sold without engagement.
