LAVENDER BANK stumbled leaving the stalls. In view of the performances of GOLD CHEST and LAVENDER BANK, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine these horses. The saddle of ON THE THAMES slipped back in running. This was confirmed by the Course Veterinary Surgeon. BLUE JASMINE was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. When questioned regarding the improved performance of this filly, Trainer Prinsloo explained to the Board that this filly enjoyed the extra distance, racing around the turn for the first time and the drop in class, which in his opinion had accounted for her improvement. Mr Prinsloo's attention was drawn to the Rules pertaining to In and Out running. ORATIO is a gelding, incorrectly carded. LAVENDER BANK raced with a tongue tie on. Vet: GOLD CHEST - lame right front. AMBER FLASH - abnormal respiratory noise. LAVENDER BANK - speedy cut left front and not striding out right hind.
