THE STARTER REPORTED: a) SUPER HANDSOME (S Brown) reared in the stalls. b) BELIEVEINTHEFUTURE (G Lerena) jumped inwards leaving the stalls. c) ZULUONMYSTOEP (*L J Ferraris), CITY DEEP (*J R Syster), ROCKPAPERSCISSORS (C Habib) and TIME COMMAND (L Hewitson) were slow losing one length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Jockey M Yeni (MASTER MARINER) accidently dropped his crop at the 350m. b) ALEX LINGARRI (*C F Dicken) hung in from the 200m. c) At approximately the 200m, SUPER HANDSOME (S Brown) was carried out by GRAZINGINTHEGRASS (M van Rensburg) which shifted out away from the crop. Thereafter, leaving the 100m, GRAZINGINTHEGRASS (M van Rensburg) was brushed in marginally by SUPER HANDSOME (S Brown) which commenced to hang in d) Jockey C Maujean reported he felt something amiss with STILL WATERS in running and he did not persevere with his riding from the 300m. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. e) Jockey D Schwarz reported that he felt something amiss with POMEGRANATE in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. f) SEA WAYS (D De Gouveia), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Assistant Trainer N Titise, acting on behalf of Trainer S T Pettigrew, was advised (LN). g) SUPER HANDSOME (S Brown), placed second, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
