BLACK SAMURAI was slow into stride. GLENCASSLEY jumped with her head up losing 1 length. CAPTAIN COBALT was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer Denysschen was questioned regarding the improved performance of CAPTAIN COBALT was compared to this gelding's previous run on the 11th February 2018. Mr Denysschen explained to the Board that this gelding's previous run was after a two month break and he is further of the opinion that CAPTAIN COBALT is better suited to racing at Greyville. His explanation was noted. Jockey Marcus reported that due to EMERALD VICTORY being slow in the initial stages he was unable to place him in as forward a position as instructed by Trainer Gadsby. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. GLENCASSLEY over-racing, was cramped between horses and eased for a number of strides near the 700 metre mark. CAPTAIN COBALT was hanging out over the final 300 metres. In view of the performance of GLENCASSLEY, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. Apprentice Arries, the rider of HOMETOWN HERO, no longer claims an apprentice allowance. CAPTAIN COBALT raced with his tongue tied down. BLACK SAMURAI raced unshod. GLENCASSLEY raced fitted with ear muffs. Vet: EMERALD VICTORY - nothing obvious detected. GLENCASSLEY - cut into left fore. VIA CON DIOS - cut into left hind.
