TRAVEL GUIDE was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Shortly after the start, the saddle on DANCING WITH TATUM slipped backwards badly resulting in DANCING WITH TATUM bucking repeatedly and ducking out sharply bumping SWEET AFTON. This resulted in SWEET AFTON, ROY'S BARBEL and ARCTIC SWIFT becoming severely unbalanced and ROY'S BARBEL losing position. Shortly thereafter Apprentice Arries was dislodged. Jockey Godden, the rider of TEETOTAL, and Apprentice Sakayi, the rider of PRETZEL BABY, reported that they felt something amiss with their respective mounts and as a result they did not persevere over the final 300 metres. TIP TOE AND GO was hanging in, in the straight. Apprentice Arries, the rider of DANCING WITH TATUM, no longer claims an apprentice allowance. The Medical Officer reported that Apprentice Arries was dislodged during the race. Assessed by the Medical Officer. Report to follow. Vet: TEETOTAL and PRETZEL BABY - nothing obvious detected. Scratched: EETEE - elevated temperature. THE VINTAGE - respiratory infection. The course farrier on duty did not report there to be anything amiss with the shoes fitted to the horses that raced at tonight's race meeting. The passports of all the runners that raced at tonight's race meeting were checked, identities, AHS and Equine Influenza vaccinations confirmed.
