FIRST IN LINE jumped awkwardly losing two lengths and thereafter was slow into stride. FLAMING DESIRE was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer Naidoo was questioned with regard to the improved performance of FLAMING DESIRE, was compared to this filly's previous performances. He explained that FLAMING DESIRE has improved form, racing equipped with a tongue tie and further stated that she, in his opinion, is better suited racing on the poly track. He has undertaken to continue racing FLAMING DESIRE with a tongue tie and where possible, on the poly track in her future engagements. The Board noted his explanations and the future performances of this filly will be monitored. Q TIBB was hanging in badly in the straight. In view of this, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. FIRST IN LINE raced with ear muffs. Vet: Q TIBB - nothing obvious detected.
