During the loading process, TURBO charged into the back starting stall Gate of number 10, CHIEF SIOUX, which resulted in LAURENT DU VAR in stall gate 10 rearing, flipping over and injuring itself. LAURENT DU VAR was withdrawn by the course Veterinary Surgeon. As a consequence of this, SILENT STARSHIP (AUS) was released from the front gate of its stall to allow LAURENT DU VAR to be removed from the starting stalls. As a result of this, SILENT STARSHIP (AUS) bolted the course and was withdrawn by the course Veterinary Surgeon. These incidents caused a delay to the start and re-scheduling of time for this Race. LAURENT DU VAR's starting stall certificate was not withdrawn as no blame could be apportioned to this gelding. JOEY PIPER was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Vet: BUGARUZA - Bilateral epistaxis. 60 day suspension. Scratched: LAURENT DU VAR - injured in stalls. SILENT STARSHIP (AUS) - bolted the
