En-route to the start, ALDEBARAN dislodged Jockey Habib and bolted the course. This filly was caught in hand, examined by the course Veterinary Surgeon and passed fit to race. This caused a delay to the start of Race 7. LET HER FLY lost two lengths and thereafter was slow into stride. SIM-ALLEY BANK lost one length. Jockey van der Merwe reported that LET HER FLY took no interest in running. Shortly before the finish line, SUPRISE MOVE had to steady to avoid running onto the heels of SWEATY BETTY, which rolled in marginally. As a consequence of this, MELINDA'S GARDEN was tightened for galloping room on the inside of SWEATY BETTY. TEENAGE DREAM was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. LET HER FLY raced equipped with alumite bar shoes in front and alumites behind. ALDEBARAN raced without a tongue tie. The Ownership of SUPRISE MOVE (NZ) should read: Sean Tarry Racing C.C (Nominee S G Tarry); and the Colours are: Yellow, fuchsia stripe, halved sleeves yellow cap. Vet: LET HER FLY - examined post race, nothing obvious detected. SISTERS OF MERCY, MELINDA'S GARDEN and CURBSTONE SHUFFLE - abnormal respiratory noise. SWEATY BETTY - fatigued. Scratched: DRESSED TO IMPRESS - lame left front. LET IT FLOW - abscess left front. GOODYTWOSHOES - insufficient recovery time.
