The start of this Race was delayed due to the delay in the previous race. BANKING APRIL lost two lengths. ALILEO over-raced in the early stages. Jockey Danielson was charged with a contravention in that he struck the horse SIMPLY ROYAL more than three times on consecutive strides. Jockey Danielson signed an Admission of Guilt and was fined. Jockey Lerena reported that KILAUEA changed stride continually in running. Jockey Zackey and Jockey Zechner reported that they felt something amiss with their mounts in running. EMILY JAY was hanging in from the 400m. Thereafter EMILY JAY shifted out away from the crop in the concluding stages. SYLVAN ON FIRE was hanging in from the 200m. SIMPLY ROYAL and SYLVAN ON FIRE were selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. KILAUEA - examined post race, nothing obvious detected. SHATOOSH - abnormal respiratory noise and fatigued. BANKING APRIL - not striding out behind. EMILY JAY - fatigued.
