FOREIGN POLICY jumped outwards losing 2 lengths. PLATINUM PLAYBOY was slow into stride. SOCRATES was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. FOREIGN POLICY jumped outwards as the start was affected and thereafter bucked and pig rooted repeatedly and raced directly to the outside running rail dislodging Jockey de Melo in the process. In view of the report concerning FOREIGN POLICY, this gelding was suspended indefinitely and thereafter until recertified to jump from the stalls and race with a companion on a race day to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Board. SAND PATH ducked out passing the 300 metre mark, thereafter hung out badly and was extremely difficult to assist. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. GRANDE MAESTRO raced green. Jockey Pagel reported PLATINUM PLAYBOY took no interest in running. Apprentice de Gouveia reported ROURKE (AUS) was making an abnormal respiratory noise in running. The Medical Officer report that Jockey de Melo was dislodged and sprained right ankle. Vet: FOREIGN POLICY - speedy cut left hind. PLATINUM PLAYBOY and SAND PATH - nothing obvious detected. ROURKE (AUS) - fatigued.
