CAT'S LEGACY, LATE AUTUMN and TWISTER VORTEX were all slow into stride. FRANCESCO was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer Lafferty was questioned regarding the improved performance of FRANCESCO, was compared to this gelding's previous run on the 14.2.2018. He explained to the Board that following that disappointing run he had fitted this gelding with blinkers for today's run which had, in his opinion, accounted for the improved performance. Mr Lafferty has undertaken to race this gelding equipped with blinkers in his future performances. KAZAAR and GOLDEN PHEASANT were both cramped for galloping room at approximately the 350 metre mark. At approximately the 200 metre mark, KAZAAR was baulked for a clear run and was switched in off the heels of CALLADDI carrying THE POET inwards. This resulted in CALLADDI, who was compounding and giving ground, having to ease. Due to the performances of CAT'S LEGACY and CALLADDI, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine these geldings. Jockey Delpech reported that he felt something amiss with REACTIVE in running. Vet: CAT'S LEGACY, REACTIVE and CALLADDI - nothing obvious detected.
