CAPTAIN'S CHARM jumped awkwardly outwards and carried HOTEL CIPRIANI outwards, which in turn squeezed out SPECTRA FORCE shortly after the start. In view of the performance from KING OF ACES, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine the gelding on its return to the unsaddling enclosure and submit a report. Approaching the 400m, SPECTRA FORCE was held up on the heels of OH BEHAVE and was forced to switch in to continue its run. KING OF ACES steadied off the heels of ORAKAL at about the 1000m. JAY ROCK was hanging out in the latter stages. Trainer Robinson appeared before the Board and was questioned regarding the performance from ORAKAL today. He told the Stewards that in his opinion the blinkers and tongue tie fitted today had benefitted the gelding. The Board advised Mr Robinson to race the gelding equipped similarly to today in its future races. ORAKAL was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Vet: KING OF ACES - was inspected post race and no obvious abnormalities were detected.
