THE STARTER REPORTED: a) GIMETHEPURPLELIGHT (*J Mphanya) lost 3 lengths. b) MONDAY'S CHILD (*T Gumede) lost 2 lengths. c) WILD WING (*J Gates) lost many lengths. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) In view of the Starter's report with regard to WILD WING (*J Gates), this filly's starting stall certificate is withdrawn and it is suspended in terms of Rule 61.6.10 for a period of 7 days and until such time as it proves tractable with a companion. Suspension dates: 29.10.20 to the 04.11.20. WILD WING may not be presented for re-passing during this period. Trainer L Denysschen was advised. (SH) b) KINSKEY'S TUNE (T Godden) raced wide in the early stages. c) MONDAY'S CHILD (*T Gumede) over-raced for a short distance near the 1100m. d) Jockey T Godden reported that KINSKEY'S TUNE (7.50 lengths) had post race distress. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. e) Jockey S Randolph signed an admission of guilt for a contravention of Rule 58.10.2, read in conjunction with Guideline M, in that he struck the horse MAMA PYJAMA more than 12 times in the entire Race. In deciding what action to take against Jockey S Randolph the Board considered the number of times (14) Jockey S Randolph struck the horse MAMA PYJAMA, the distance over which and manner in which, Jockey S Randolph used his crop and his record (0) in relation to this Rule. Accordingly, a penalty of R750 imposed. f) RIVER DOON (W Kennedy), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Assistant Trainer O Mhlamvu acting on behalf of Trainer G H van Zyl advised (SC). JOCKEY / EQUIPMENT CHANGES : a) WILD WING was ridden by Apprentice J Gates (advised 26.10.20/10h24) and this filly raced with a tongue tie (advised 28.10.20/6h08). RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER : a) Nil.
