BIG SI hesitated, threw his head up on two occasions striking Jockey Kennedy in the face. Thereafter jumped awkwardly and was slow into stride losing in excess of 15 lengths. RIO DE LA PLATA was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. RIO DE LA PLATA was hanging in, in the latter stages. A race review was called into the start of this race regarding BIG SI. The Board noted that BIG SI hesitated, threw his head up and lost significant ground to the field. The Stipendiary Board after reviewing the patrol video was of the view that this was the action of BIG SI and declared BIG SI to be a runner. In view of the Starter's Report concerning BIG SI this gelding was suspended for a period of 7 days and until such time as it is recertified tractable with a companion. BIG SI may not be presented for repassing during this period. Jockey Kennedy sustained a concussion due to horse head-butt. Scratched: AFRICAN PHAROAH - coughing.
