As the start was effected, RASPBERRY RED became restless, threw its head down and unseated jockey s brown. A false start was called by the Starter. Trainer Sham was advised to re-school this filly prior to her next engagement. The runners were restrained by their riders and returned to the start with the exception of RASPBERRY RED who bolted and SEA LIKE GLASS, who proved difficult to restrain and galloped the course. RASPBERRY RED and SEA LIKE GLASS were withdrawn by the course Veterinary Surgeon for bolting. The remainder of the field were inspected, passed fit to race and reloaded which caused a delay to the start of this race. GIANNA lost one length. CANDELA lost two lengths. Shortly after the start, ROMAN BALLERINA stumbled badly resulting in Jockey Simons losing his right side stirrup iron momentarily. JUNTA, which rolled in marginally and POSSIBLY NOT, which rolled out marginally came together and bumped at the 200m. SOME SONG was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. JUNTA raced equipped with alumites in front and unshod behind. ATOMIC KITTEN raced equipped with ear muffs. Vet: ADRENALINA - blowing heavily post race. POSSIBLY NOT - mouth injury. Scratched: RASPBERRY RED and SEA LIKE GRASS - bolted the course.
