CURBSTONE SHUFFLE lost 2 lengths.A race review was called into the start of this race with regard to SIM-ALLEY BANK in stall gate number 5 and it was established that Apprentice Hewitson was still in the process of securing his feet in the stirrup irons as the gates were released. As a consequence of this Apprentice Hewitson jumped without his feet in the stirrup irons and became unbalanced when trying to regain them, resulting in SIM-ALLEY BANK losing momentum. The Stipendiary Board, in consultation with the Starter and after hearing evidence from Apprentice Hewitson and various parties who were at the start, declared SIM-ALLEY BANK to be a non-runner. Jockey Maujean reported that CANDY KISSES changed stride continually in running. Jockey Penny reported that he felt something amiss with CUTEY ME in running. WRITTEN, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Apprentice Schwarz has ridden his 60th winner and with effect from 6 April 2018 will no longer claim an allowance.
