PIONEER SPIRIT was slow out and refused to gallop. GINGER ROSE, RATSO RIZZO and WISH TO LAND were nervous in the stalls. ROSSLYN CHAPEL kicked the back gate in the stalls, was slow out and lost 3 lengths. In view of the Starter's report with regard to PIONEER SPIRIT, this gelding has been suspended for a period of 30 days and thereafter must be recertified tractable to jump on terms on three consecutive occasions. Apprentice Mphanya reported that PIONEER SPIRIT took no interest in the running. The Course Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. GOLDEN SHAMROCK was hanging in in the home straight. Jockey Murray reported that RATSO RIZZO was not striding out freely in the running and eased this gelding out of the race from the 400 metre mark. Jockey Zackey reported that he felt something amiss with FAKE NEWS in the running. The Course Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. Apprentice T Juglall reported that REBEL BARON was not striding out freely in the running. The Course Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine.
