The all clear was delayed so that the Stewards could satisfy themselves as to the accuracy of the photo finish for placings 3rd and 4th. BONDIBLU and PENNINGTON SANDS lost one length. PENNINGTON SANDS was disappointed for a clear run on two separate occasions from the 600m and had to switch out for a clear run at the 400m. At approximately the 200m, WITCHCRAFT was carried out by ROYAL UTOPIA, which was in turn carried out by ARTE, which was hanging out badly and proved difficult to assist. Trainer Maroun appeared before the Board, was shown the patrol films of the race and advised to take all reasonable measures to ensure that ARTE does not behave in a similar manner in races in future. Trainer Verdonese was requested to report back to the Board on the condition of EMERALD BAY on return to stables. PARISIENNE CHIC was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Vet: ROYAL UTOPIA - abnormal respiratory noise - severe. EMERALD BAY and BEAUTIFUL SHAY - examined post race, nothing obvious detected. ARTE - coughing.
