The start of this Race was delayed due to the withdrawal of LEE'S PICK, which refused to load. The starting stall's certificate for this gelding has been withdrawn. MAJESTIC BAY lost 1 length. In view of the Starter's report with regard to LEE'S PICK, this gelding was suspended for a period of 30 days and until such time as it proves tractable on a race day loading into the starting stalls with a companion. LEE'S PICK may not be presented for repassing during this period. Trainer B O Wiid to be advised. Jockey Maujean reported that he felt something amiss with MIYOSHI in running. Jockey Zackey reported that SKYNIGHT made an abnormal respiratory noise in running. At approximately the 400m, VIBURNUM, which rolled in, and SKYNIGHT, which shifted in away from the crop, came together and bumped. As a consequence of this MIYOSHI was momentarily inconvenienced on the outside of SKYNIGHT. PSYCHIC was baulked for a clear run at approximately the 300m. At approximately the 200m, DEFY GRAVITY had to switch out to avoid running onto the heels of SKYNIGHT, which shifted in away from the crop. Apprentice Hewitson signed an Admission of Guilt and was fined for a contravention, read with Guideline C on the use of the crop, in that he struck the horse PSYCHIC more than three times on consecutive strides. VIBURNUM was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Vet: MIYOSHI - examined post race, nothing obvious detected. MAJESTIC BAY and SKYNIGHT - abnormal respiratory noise. Scratched: LEE'S PICK - refused to load. MIESQUE'S RUMBA - insufficient recovery time.
