HEADLINE, install gate number 7, broke through the front gate, dislodged the rider and bolted. HEADLINE was subsequently withdrawn the Veterinary Surgeon. This caused a delay to the start of this Race. During the loading process HEADLINE was restless and pulled its head down, resulting in Jockey Thabana being dislodged, and this gelding breaking through the front gate and bolting the course. The starting stalls certificate for HEADLINE has been withdrawn. In view of the Starter's report with regard to HEADLINE, this gelding was suspended for a period of 7 days and until such time as it proves tractable in the starting stalls with a companion. HEADLINE may not be presented for repassing during this period. Jockey Penny reported that TRIP SEVEN took no interest in running. Jockey Bester reported that SEATTLE NITE did not stride out freely in running. RAVING ROCKET was hanging in badly from the 500m, proving difficult to assist. IN REM was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. TRIP SEVEN and SEATTLE NITE raced equipped with alumite shoes in front, unshod behind. IN REM raced equipped with a tongue tie. Vet: TRIP SEVEN - not striding out right front. SEATTLE NITE - lame right front. SOUNDS OF LOVE - coughing. Scratched: HERODUS - suspected virus. HEADLINE - bolted. EXCLUSIVELY TRENDY - no transport.
