THE Start of this race was delayed due to the starting stalls having to be repositioned on the track and the tongue tie on AYESSAYPEE having to be refitted. SIR AUBREY was stubborn loading and jumped awkwardly leaving the stalls. NUNTIUS ORATORION lost 1 length. When the horses entered the parade ring, it was established that the incorrect saddles had been fitted to numbers 6 and 9. These horses were returned to the saddling area, re-identified, the workriders re-weighed, the horses re-saddled and sent to the start. Workrider Semela reported that he felt something amiss with NUNTIUS ORATORION in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this colt. At approximately the 1800M ESCAMILLO and SIR AUBREY came together and bumped. BOSPHORUS and IMOTO were selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. BOSPHORUS is a gelding. Trainer Wiid signed an Admission in that he failed to notify the local office of the National Horseracing Authority within seven (7) days that BOSPHORUS had been gelded. Vet: ESCAMILLO - abnormal respiratory noise. NUNTIUS ORATORION - examined post race, nothing obvious detected. Scratched: SEA LORD - off feed.
