DONNY G pulled its left front shoe en route to the start, which was replaced by the farrier. This caused a delay to the start of this race. MOMBELA lost 1 length. Jockeys de Melo, rider of PROFESSOR BRIAN (AUS) and Zackey, rider of SNOW BOARDING reported that their respective mounts made an abnormal respiratory noise in running. ALILEO was hanging in from the 400m. The saddle on SNOW BOARDING slipped back in running, which was confirmed by the Stipendiary Stewards. Jockey Yeni signed an Admission of Guilt in that he failed to ride the horse GOLDEN MAN out to the end of the race to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards. When assessing the penalty the Board was of the opinion that Jockey Yeni had not prejudiced his chance of obtaining fifth place. SPLENDID GARDEN was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Vet: PROFESSOR BRIAN (AUS) - no respiratory noise detected post race. MOMBELA - abnormal respiratory noise. SNOW BOARDING - abnormal respiratory noise.
