THE STARTER REPORTED: a) LA LUVIA (*L J Ferraris) and NETTA (C Zackey) were slow into stride. b) TANZANITE QUEEN (S Khumalo) jumped outwards leaving the stalls. c) LOUIS GEM (D De Gouveia) was restless in the stalls and thereafter slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) At approximately the 1200m, UN DEUX TROIS (W Kennedy) had to steady momentarily in anticipation of running onto the heels of GEE FOR GOLD (M Yeni) which rolled in. b) Jockey G van Niekerk reported that he felt something amiss with TOTO in running and did not persevere with his riding in the concluding stages. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. c) DUE DILIGENCE (C Murray), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer M F de Kock advised (DR). d) GEE FOR GO (M Yeni), placed second, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Stable Employee S Sawere advised (AH). JOCKEY CHANGES: None.
